Ember Rising

The Green Ember: Ember Rising | S.D. Smith

To the reader, all hope seems to be lost. Heather is captured inside enemy territory and things are not as safe or secure as they seem. Both rabbits fight for survival in a dark, desolate, and warring world. Each victory is a small step toward the Mended Wood. With new and old foes arising the rabbits must muster the courage to hold onto the speck of hope on the horizon. The flame of the cause is still burning, but will Morbin’s forces smother it?

Ember Rising is a fast-paced and super exciting book. I enjoyed it a lot, but it was pretty scary, so if scary books aren’t really your thing, I wouldn’t recommend it. There is quite a bit of violence, fighting, and deaths. There is some illustrations, but none of scary or disturbing things. Overall, I enjoyed Ember Rising quite a bit.
