Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus | Dusti Bowling
Aven Green is thirteen years old and was adopted when she was two years old. She was born with no arms and as a young child, discovered it was easier to make up stories about not having arms. Aven is very talented and she can eat, do her hair, do everything with her feet (she washes them). She attends a school where everyone is used to her not having arms but then, her dad applies for a job in Arizona to be the manager of a theme park and she has to make new friends which is very hard.
This book was very good and made me curious about what will happen next in the next book. The story was suspenseful and made me very excited. I felt happy because Aven accepted that she was different. The ending was a little bit sad. I really enjoyed reading it, and I think you will too.
