On the Far Side of the Mountain was a thoroughly satisfying sequel to My Side of the Mountain, and I enjoyed it a lot. It was, exciting, adventurous, and original, all very good qualities for an adventure book. I think readers who enjoyed Bear Grylls’s Mission Survival series and Hatchet would enjoy On the Far Side of the Mountain.
