The False Prince

Ascendance: The False Prince | Jennifer Nielsen

Sage is an orphan who lives in the kingdom of Carthya. He is rescued from an angry butcher by nobleman named Bevin Conner, who is traveling around the countryside collecting orphans for a mysterious purpose. Conner takes them to his estate and tells them that the royal family has actually been murdered, and Conner plans to put one of them, who all resemble one of the princes, on the throne. Sage knows he has to be chosen or he will be killed, but things are not as simple as they seem. Everything is covered in treachery and deceit, and nothing is as it seems. Who will become king of Carthya? And what is really happening?

This book is genius. It has one of the most crazy, genius, amazing plots I have ever come across. The storyline is fantastic; very exciting and interesting, and the ending wraps everything up amazingly. I would highly recommend this book!
