This is a true story about a New Zealand family that buys a big piece of land. The parents and 6 kids move into a 90-year-old barn and live there while their house is being built. The story is full of adventures on this land and having a good time together as a family.
I find this book very interesting especially since it is true. I like it that they have a lot of animals and many stories involving these animals. I often wish I could visit the Booms, they have so much fun! The book reads like modern-day Little House on the Prairie.
